Game of Thrones Final Season – 14 Facts And Theories

Theory: Bran is Bran the Builder

There has been several fan theories, blogs and Youtube videos discussing this lately. Bran the Builder is a Stark who lived in Winterfell about 8000 years before the main story timeline. Why is he so important? Well, Bran the builder was the first King in the North and the first Lord of Winterfell. He is mentioned in the books and the show several times a legendary member of the First Men, and the builder of The Wall, protection the north from the ancient White Walkers.

Bran the Builder has also known for aiding Durran with the construction of Storm’s End, the ancestral seat of House Baratheon. And, of course, Bran Stark is actually named after Bran the Builder, the first lord of Winterfell and the first King of the North.

Some fan theories discuss the possibility of Bran Stark actually being Bran the Builder, or at the very least, “warging” into him so that he could build The Wall and the fortresses of Winterfell. This is based on the previously big warg session of Bran, when he warged into Hodor, thus altering his past with the whole “Hold the door” scene

Some speculate the Bran knew about the coming attack of the White Walker, and thus constructed both The Wall and Winterfell fortresses to defend the living in the upcoming battle.
